Location and Hours: The Visitor Center at 246 Market Street is open daily 9am-5pm June to Thanksgiving, with free parking at 304 Dutton Street, or paid parking nearby on the street and in parking garages.

Admission: For those aged 62 and up, you can purchase an annual Senior Pass for $20, or a lifetime Senior Pass for $80. There are also fee-free days for the Boott Mills Museum offered by the National Park Service on several national holidays, including:

Mill and Trolley Tour: Includes a trolley ride on a vintage or historic reproduction trolley, as well as a guided tour of the River Transformed Exhibit.

• Open daily June through early September with one 90-minute tour starting at 2:30pm
• Open Monday through Friday September through mid-October, with one 75-minute tour starting at 2:30pm
• Open Saturdays and Sundays mid-October to Thanksgiving, with one 75-minute tour starting at 2:30pm

Northern Canal Walkway: The Northern Canal was completed in 1847, and the walkway goes atop a 36-foot-high wall called the Great River Wall, with views of the Merrimack River and surrounding areas.

• Open daily June through mid-October, with one 45-minute tour starting at 1pm
