BMW and K2 LTD Co-Design Chill Set of Downhill Skies

BMW is taking their penchant for performance from the road to the slopes with an all-new set of limited-edition skies co-designed with the apt team of snow carvers at K2 LTD. Based on early images, Tulley BMW serving Nashua, can see the skis have a white background accented with dynamic-looking red and blue streaks and a small BMW logo on the toe.

Beyond aesthetics, the BMW and K2 LTD limited-edition skis promise a rare blend of speed and strength. Roughly sixty-eight-and-a-half-inches long, they fuse the advantages of a traditional camber with those of a rocker. And, thanks to K2 Baselines advanced technology, they deliver sheer power, premium edge grip, and type-A control. More impressive, yet: They aren't restricted to any one kind of terrain, snow condition or sub-surface.

They really are as chill as they sound...But a word of advice: Don't get your hopes up too high, unless you're willing to compete for them. BMW and K2 LTD aren't planning to sell these sweet skis. Rather, the 500 limited-edition pairs are reserved as prizes for the BMW xDrive Cup.

What exactly is the BMW xDrive Cup? Well, the name is a little misleading. It's not designed around BMW xDrive all-wheel drive as one might intuit. Rather, it's a ski and snow-boarding competition for non-pros held by BMW and Skiline. BMW enthusiasts interested in participating can sign up online anytime at http://www.bmw-xdrive-guide.com/xd_en/bmw_xdrive_cup/login. The goal is to collect badges for a wide array of disciplines.
