BMW wants to bring the benefits of carbon fiber to all of its drivers. And, a strategic alliance with SGL Carbon SE represents just one step BMW is taking to ensure they achieve this goal. By investing in companies such as SGL Carbon SE, BMW will ultimately serve to lower the cost of producing carbon fiber and effectively  the market price drivers pay for the finished vehicles.

This isn't BMW's first partnership with SGL Carbon SE, either. Together, the two players have created a brand-new, state-of-the-art carbon fiber manufacturing facility in Washington state.
